Compartimos esta petición del Consejo Cívico de Organizaciones Populares e Indígenas de Honduras (COPINH) sobre #JusticiaParaBerta – A 19 de noviembre 2021
El día 5 de julio del presente año, la sala primera del Tribunal de Sentencia con Jurisdicción Nacional en Materia Penal de la ciudad de Tegucigalpa, conformada por las juezas Joselyn Donaire , Esther Carolina Flores y juez José Anaim Orellana, emitieron fallo de culpabilidad (bit.ly/3pEX1As) contra Roberto David Castillo por su responsabilidad como coautor del asesinato de Berta Cáceres.
A 5 meses del fallo condenatorio contra David Castillo, el Poder Judicial sigue sin dictar la sentencia, incumpliendo el artículo 369 del Código Procesal Penal que hace referencia a que la sentencia tuvo que emitirse inmediatamente después del fallo.
El COPINH solicita apoyo a Organizaciones Nacionales e Internacionales para firmar la siguiente petición y exigir al Poder Judicial la pronta sentencia contra Castillo, y que proceda con los autores intelectuales del crimen de nuestra compañera Berta Cáceres.

On July 5 of this year, the First Chamber of the Sentencing Court with National Jurisdiction in Criminal Matters in the city of Tegucigalpa, formed by judges Joselyn Donaire, Esther Carolina Flores and Judge José Anaim Orellana, issued a guilty verdict (bit.ly/3pEX1As) against Roberto David Castillo for his responsibility as co-perpetrator of the murder of Berta Cáceres.
Five months after the conviction of David Castillo, the Judiciary has still not issued the sentence, in violation of Article 369 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, which states that the sentence must be issued immediately after the verdict.
COPINH requests support from National and International Organizations to sign the following petition and demand the Judiciary the prompt sentencing against Castillo, and to proceed with the intellectual authors of the crime of our comrade Berta Cáceres.
